Please remember that
every Friday is a Redbird Spirit Day. We are competing to see which classes
wear the most red. The class with the most will receive an ice cream party at
the end of the year. DonÕt forget to wear your red on Friday!

Week of May 8-12, 2006
Language Arts: We will be reviewing Unit 4 (Adjectives,
articles, letter punctuation, and synonyms and antonyms.) We will also be
working on writing skills.
Reading: The students will read the story Time
for Kids: Saving the Everglades and review the skill of
cause and effect. The test will be given Friday. We will also complete the unit
6 test and the end of the year exam on Thursday and Friday.
Spelling:
The spelling words for the week begin on page 185. The
students will need to complete the workbook pages by Friday. A page per night will be assigned for
homework. The test will be given Friday.
Math: We will work on multiplication, angles, and
chapter reviews.
Science: The students will be reviewing each unit
and completing an assessment of each unit. We will also review weather and
currents.
Social Studies: We will be reading Chapter 14
(Changes in the United States). There will be an end of chapter quiz and
vocabulary test on Thursday.
